Highway Construction Inspector - Full-Time Position

WSP is seeking a skilled Highway Construction Inspector to oversee construction activities related to highway and bridge projects. The role involves conducting thorough inspections and observations to ensure adherence to established regulations and specifications. Key responsibilities include interpreting engineering plans, preparing detailed reports, performing materials testing, and enforcing safety protocols throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of pertinent experience in construction inspection
  • Valid driver's license issued by the state
  • Proficient understanding of construction inspection methodologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively
  • Experience in maintaining safety standards in the workplace

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Certifications in concrete, hot-mix, and materials sampling
  • American Concrete Institute (ACI) Certification
  • Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) Certification
