Compensation:$14 - $16 per hour
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and manage tools and materials on-site to ensure efficient operations for the crew.
- Assist skilled tradespeople and heavy equipment operators in various aspects of the project, including plumbing, electrical work, and roofing.
- Clear the site of any trash, debris, or hazardous materials to prepare for construction.
- Ensure a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials after project completion.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Help prepare playground sites through excavation, grading, and drainage tasks.
- Interpret blueprints and specifications to guarantee accurate installation of playground equipment.
- Safely assemble and install playground structures, swings, slides, and other components according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and team members to ensure quality and timely project completion.
- Operate construction tools and equipment, such as drills, saws, and compactors, safely and effectively.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain an organized work area, including proper disposal of materials and debris.
- Physical agility, strong hand-eye coordination, and good balance are essential for this role.
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Experience with construction equipment, including forklifts, power tools, and hand tools, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of basic engineering and construction methods is preferred, though training will be provided.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, follow directions, and execute tasks effectively.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in construction or a related field is required.
- Strong understanding of construction techniques, tools, and materials.
- Capability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Experience operating construction machinery is preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety are crucial.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.
