Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Oklahoma City County Health Department as a Human Resources Recruiter. The successful candidate will be responsible for the recruitment of qualified applicants, attending job fairs, facilitation of employee training, and other Human Resources duties as assigned by the Chief Human Resources Officer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment Strategy: Assist with the design and implementation of an overall recruitment strategy to attract top talent for the Oklahoma City County Health Department.
  • Job Posting: Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to relevant job boards, newspapers, and colleges to reach a diverse pool of candidates.
  • Candidate Sourcing: Recruit candidates using databases, social media, and other sources to find qualified talent for open positions.
  • Application Management: Maintain the online application software to ensure a smooth candidate experience.
  • Talent Identification: Use available sources to identify qualified talent for open positions, including social media networks and job fairs.
  • Hiring Needs: Consult with supervisors and the Chief Human Resources Officer to identify hiring needs and develop a plan to meet them.
  • Resume Screening: Review and screen job applicants' resumes to determine which candidates meet the job vacancy's qualifications and requirements.
  • Communication: Respond to questions concerning the recruitment and selection process from internal and external applicants and supervisors.
  • Interview Development: Consult with supervisors to assist in developing committee interview and supervisor interview questions for positions to be filled, with final approval from the Chief Human Resources Officer.
  • New Employee Onboarding: Assist with the onboarding of new employees to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Training and Development: Assist with the development of curriculum for OCCHD's orientation and in-job training programs.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Provide analytical and documented recruiting reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer.
  • Affirmative Action Plan: Assist with maintaining OCCHD's affirmative action plan.
  • Special Projects: Conduct special projects as assigned by the Chief Human Resources Officer and Executive Team.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field, plus three years of related experience, or a Master's degree plus two years of experience.
  • License: Valid Oklahoma driver's license.
