Job Summary

We are seeking an Adjunct Professor of Business to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will have a strong background in human resources and be able to deliver engaging and effective coursework in this field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach human resources courses to students at Oklahoma City Community College
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students and the college
  • Assess student learning outcomes and provide feedback to students
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental goals and objectives
  • Stay current with advancements in the field of human resources and incorporate this knowledge into teaching and course development
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in a human resources discipline
  • Knowledge of HRM principles, including recruitment, selection, training, performance management, and employee relations
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations
  • Ability to deliver engaging and effective coursework in human resources and related subjects
  • Strong research skills to stay updated with the latest HR trends
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and industry professionals
Preferred Qualifications
  • Member of Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM)
  • Certified Professional (CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SCP) Certification (SHRM)
  • Professional Human Resource Certification – PHR/SPHR (HRCI)
Work Environment

This position performs the essential functions in an indoor, classroom or office setting.
