Job Summary:

The Account Manager is a vital role in the sustained success of sales and market share growth. This position is responsible for maintaining long-term customer relationships, identifying and distributing sales opportunities, and engaging in strategic selling to achieve successful business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer needs to maintain long-term customer preference for company products
  • Identify and distribute sales opportunities and leads for existing and new product programs
  • Engage Sales Engineers to ensure strategic selling/growth opportunities are properly supported
  • Act as liaison to coordinate information sharing between customers and the company
  • Work with customers to support delivery of new solutions and grow sales
  • Provide commercial assistance regarding pricing, account maintenance, forecasting, and quality
  • Provide and coordinate technical resources regarding product applications and solutions
  • Answer customer inquiries and questions related to product use, maintenance, operations, and other related information
  • Provide reports on account, market, and competitive activity
  • Respond swiftly and courteously to customer complaints or inquiries
  • Capture and document changes to customer information for future follow-up
  • Monitor account health, including service-delivery, receivables, quality issues, and competitive threats

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or related experience and outcomes in business-to-business sales, technical field desired. MBA preferred.

Experience:

3 to 5 years in direct, B2B sales. Knowledge of foundry processes, particularly casting processes, end-user markets, and technical requirements of the metal casting industry preferred but not required.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of industry, end-user markets, foundry processes, and technical specifications
