Job Title: Sales Account Manager

LyondellBasell North America is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Account Manager to join our team. As a Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for representing LyondellBasell at customers in an assigned territory, planning and directing sales activities for Polyethylene and Polypropylene resin sales at both established and prospective accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to promote and sell Company Polyolefin products to established and prospective customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including senior management, purchasing organizations, and technical teams.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Marketing, Technical, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Operations Planning, Inventory Planning, Pricing, Manufacturing, and other functional areas to develop information to make strong commercial recommendations and decisions.
  • Develop and administer Sales Contracts under the guidance and direction of Sales Management, Marketing Managers, and Legal for the Sale of Polyolefin Products.
  • Prepare pre-call planning for customer visits, including the preparation of an agenda, slide presentations or other product/technical support materials needed to support the call objectives and goals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Sciences, Engineering, Marketing, or Business Management.
  • 15+ years' experience in sales or procurement in the Polyolefins industry, preferably with Polymers or Petrochemicals experience.
  • Ability to work independently and travel early/after-hours as needed to complete position requirements.
  • Business travel expected is 30%.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clear, concise, accurate messages to customers in non-face-to-face situations.

  • Professionalism, with the ability to present oneself in an appropriate manner while representing the Company.
  • Time management, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and activities effectively and efficiently.
