Position Overview:
The Certified Work Incentive Coordinator at Goodwill Industries of Kentucky plays a crucial role in assisting Social Security beneficiaries. This position is designed for a motivated and skilled professional who can effectively analyze and communicate complex information regarding employment-related issues faced by individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
The CWIC will focus on providing comprehensive Work Incentive benefits analysis and planning to empower individuals with disabilities. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Delivering direct services and benefits counseling to beneficiaries and their families.
  • Maintaining accurate data entry and case notes within specified timelines.
  • Offering follow-up support to beneficiaries and collaborating with agencies and support teams.
  • Clarifying the implications of employment income on various public benefit programs, including SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, and Medicare.
  • Guiding beneficiaries on how to effectively utilize work incentives.
  • Preparing detailed Benefits Summary and Analysis reports to illustrate the impact of employment on benefits.
  • Acting as a liaison between beneficiaries and the Social Security Administration when necessary.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A High School diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, Disability Studies, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or mental health challenges is advantageous.
  • Current certification as a Community Work Incentive Coordinator is preferred.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.

Physical Requirements:
This position may involve sedentary work, including prolonged periods of sitting, occasional bending, and lifting up to 15 pounds. Some travel may be required.
