Role Overview:

As part of Boeing's mission to connect, protect, explore, and inspire, we are seeking dedicated professionals who are eager to learn and grow while contributing to impactful projects. This role is essential in supporting our Production Engineering Organization, particularly in the San Antonio area, where we are looking for proactive engineers ready to engage directly with manufacturing processes.

The selected candidates will be responsible for making swift engineering decisions and will be expected to collaborate closely with production teams. This position may require working various shifts, including weekends and overtime, with potential travel commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and resolve product and process challenges throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Utilize engineering principles to investigate technical, operational, and quality issues, proposing both interim and final solutions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective actions for design non-conformances.
  • Document and analyze reported issues, communicating any deviations that may affect design intent and safety, while managing resolutions.
  • Implement product and process enhancements to improve overall efficiency.
  • Design temporary structural repairs and perform static strength analyses, while developing non-destructive testing procedures and standards.
  • Engage with Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participate in design reviews, representing the engineering community throughout the production and post-production phases.

Work Environment:

This position requires 100% onsite presence, with candidates expected to work in a factory environment that includes various physical challenges and hazards.

Security Clearance:

Applicants must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, which necessitates U.S. Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
  • Current or recent MRB (Material Review Board) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Strong leadership skills, collaborative problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
  • Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or additive manufacturing.
  • Background in Production Engineering.
  • Proficiency in relevant technologies and excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
