Position Overview:

At Cafe Sevilla, the Tapas Bartender role is essential in creating an unforgettable experience for guests through Sevilla's vibrant music, delectable cuisine, and rich cultural heritage. This position is focused on fostering strong relationships with patrons, encouraging their return visits.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to understanding Sevilla's unique cultural elements through both hands-on training and personal initiative.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote and showcase Sevilla's culinary offerings, distinctive beverages, and special promotions, adhering to the Company's Service Standards. The aim is to educate guests about the flavors, wines, and traditions of Spain.
  • Implement the Sevilla Service Standards specific to this role.
  • Utilize daily Opening and Closing Checklists to ensure all procedures are completed efficiently.
  • Enhance the guest experience to encourage repeat visits.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries and requests.
  • Ensure adherence to food and beverage entry protocols in accordance with company policies.
  • Assess the quality of all items served, ensuring only the highest standards are met.
  • Prepare beverages according to Sevilla's recipes and expectations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring all items are removed promptly.
  • Handle payment transactions accurately, following cash handling protocols and reporting any discrepancies immediately.
  • Address routine guest concerns in line with Sevilla's standards, escalating non-routine issues to management.
  • Maintain the appearance of all work areas to meet company standards.
  • Complete all end-of-shift tasks and ensure sign-off by a manager.
  • Follow sanitation, safety, and alcohol service policies to protect both the establishment and its patrons.
  • Report any maintenance or safety concerns to management without delay.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service.

Additional Duties:
  • Accurately clock in and out for each shift, notifying management of any discrepancies.
  • Adhere to company policies regarding breaks and meal periods.
  • Participate in all mandatory staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Report any incidents of harassment, discrimination, or safety concerns to management immediately.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a fast-paced, fine dining environment or a combination of education and experience.
  • Certifications: Current Food Handler's Card and LEAD Card.
  • Skills: Proficiency in company POS and timekeeping systems.

Work Environment:

The work environment is typically loud and may involve close quarters. A clean and professional appearance is mandatory at all times, in accordance with company standards.
