SOFTWARE VALIDATION SPECIALIST - NAVIGATION SYSTEMS

Objective:

In the role of Software Validation Specialist, you will oversee the validation of requirements and modifications for both standard and exceptional Navigation Software releases, ensuring quality through the development of comprehensive validation strategies aimed at identifying software discrepancies and assessing the complete system software performance.

Your responsibilities will include formulating validation protocols and guidelines in alignment with vehicle release timelines and significant events, while generating reports that integrate validation findings in accordance with issue management protocols. You will also provide support for local client engagements, including audits and collaborative validation efforts, while effectively tracking and addressing raised concerns.


Key Responsibilities:
Software Quality Assurance (20%)

Issue Management - Oversee the confirmation, registration, and modification of issues gathered from various internal and external sources, including Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback, while monitoring issues through diverse methods, including raising objections and pursuing validation for resolved issues until they are finalized and closed.

Report Generation - Compile results from Test Case analyses and outstanding issues for each event to produce reports that adhere to validation management standards, and communicate status updates to clients.

Software Monitoring - Post-finalization of software, continuously observe for potential issues, assessing the significance of detected problems for either immediate resolution or negotiation in case of risk/cost implications.

Validation Enhancement - In cases where specification alterations or external inquiries necessitate adjustments to Test Cases, execute periodic modifications and apply them to the validation process.


Software Verification & Validation (60%)

Examine Software Specifications and Change Lists (Requirements) to develop Test Cases.

Conduct validation in accordance with Test Cases and document issues.

Perform unit validation for each module (IS/RG/RP/TI/MD).

Execute validation on system integration and performance.

Carry out integration validation through practical driving tests.


Client Relations (20%)

Event Assistance - Provide on-site support for local events, including audits, pre-audits, monitoring, and collaborative validation efforts. Present findings from internal validation reports.

Respond promptly and accurately to client inquiries to mitigate company-related issues, and in the event of an issue, report to headquarters with detailed specifics to avoid delays in investigation.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Geographic Information Science, or Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Software Validation Engineering.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in an international corporate environment and collaboration across multiple departments.
  • Fluency in both Korean and English is preferred.
  • Experience with OEM vehicle development projects from inception to production.
  • Proficiency in using Vector tools, specifically CANoe, CANape, and CANalyzer.
  • Familiarity with software engineering principles.
  • Understanding of software architecture and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience in developing software testing strategies.
  • Able to conduct testing in accordance with international standards (ISO, IEC, IEEE 29119).
  • Knowledge of both Black and White box testing methodologies.
