This role necessitates a commitment to understanding Sevilla's unique cultural elements through both on-the-job training and personal initiative.
The ability to effectively convey Sevilla's distinctive features to our guests, contribute positively to our workplace atmosphere, and adhere to company, state, and federal regulations are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and articulate Sevilla's culinary offerings, specialty beverages, and various promotions in accordance with the Company’s Service Protocols. The aim is to educate guests about the food, wines, and cultural heritage of Spain.
- Adhere to the Sevilla Service Protocols specific to this role.
- Utilize the Opening and Closing Checklists daily to ensure all opening and closing tasks are completed.
- Strive to create an exceptional guest experience that encourages repeat visits.
- Execute all aspects of the Contracted Banquet Event Order accurately. Always consult with a manager if there are uncertainties regarding any details.
- Ensure the Banquet/Event area is arranged correctly as directed by the Event Coordinator/Manager.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries or requests.
- Follow Aloha policies and procedures for food and beverage entry at all times, ensuring all specifics for banquet service are included in orders.
- Assess the quality of all items served, ensuring that no food or beverages of substandard quality or presentation are offered. Confirm that all items align with the menu specified in the Banquet Event Order.
- Maintain table cleanliness—servers are responsible for the timely removal of dirty plates, utensils, cups, and trash.
- Collect payments for all food and beverages served, adhering to cash handling protocols and reporting any concerns immediately.
- Address routine guest issues in line with Sevilla standards, and escalate non-routine concerns to a manager without delay.
- Maintain all side work and room presentation to established standards, ensuring readiness by the designated time.
- Complete all end-of-night side work for banquets/events, with sign-off from a manager before clocking out.
- Follow proper checkout procedures as outlined in Best Practices.
- Safeguard the establishment and patrons by complying with sanitation, safety, and alcohol control policies.
- Possess knowledge of all Best Practices relevant to this role.
- Complete all assigned training assessments and courses.
- Exhibit teamwork by maintaining a positive attitude and approachable demeanor, collaborating effectively with colleagues.
- Report any maintenance, security, or safety issues to a Manager immediately.
- Comply with uniform standards as per the Sevilla Handbook.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
- Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
- Deliver exceptional customer service.
- Engage with guests to confirm their satisfaction with food and service.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Accurately clock in and out for each workday, following proper procedures for breaks and meal periods.
- Take meal breaks as required by Company Policy, ensuring compliance with the Sevilla Handbook.
- Notify a manager if unable to take a meal period or break for any reason.
- Participate in all mandatory staff meetings.
- Report any suspicions of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, or safety concerns to a Manager immediately.
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced, fine dining environment, or a combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with state and federal safety and sanitation regulations.
Certifications:
- Current Food Handler's Card.
- LEAD Card.
- ServSafe Certification.
Computer Skills:
Ability to learn and utilize Company POS and timekeeping systems.
Work Environment:
