Position Title: Accounting Specialist

Location: Remote

Reporting To: Finance/Accounting Director

Position Overview:
The Accounting Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the daily financial operations of the organization. This position is integral to the accounting team, assisting in the auditing of cash transactions and the management of asset tracking and reporting.

Main Responsibilities:
In alignment with Ampler's policies and procedures, the key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Provide assistance to the parent company's accounting division.
  • Support the team in preparing for audits, financial initiatives, and tax-related matters.
  • Collaborate with field operations to analyze financial reports and clarify budget variances.
  • Monitor daily banking activities, including received checks and cash deposits, while maintaining accurate cash reporting for all transactions.
  • Generate accounts payable invoices as directed by the Finance Director.
  • Conduct corporate credit card analysis and manage reporting.
  • Deliver exceptional service to all stakeholders, including field personnel, vendors, and customers.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing existing accounting systems and policies, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Execute additional duties and analyses as requested by the Finance Director.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports on sales performance, product tracking, and budget comparisons.
  • Report any significant accounting discrepancies or financial irregularities to the Finance/Accounting Director.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting along with 2-3 years of relevant experience is required. Candidates should possess:
  • Proficient Excel skills.
  • Experience with UKG, Paylocity, and Workday is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Experience in multi-unit restaurant, hospitality, or retail sectors is preferred.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
