POSITION OVERVIEW

The Inventory and Purchasing Coordinator at Aetos Careers plays a crucial role in managing the inventory management system, ensuring that all items are accurately received and accounted for in a timely manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the Warehouse Clerk and Purchasing Agent to develop a comprehensive reorder list for management approval.
  • Obtain purchase orders generated by the inventory system for processing.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding orders from vendors.
  • Systematically input received inventory into the inventory management software.
  • Label inventory items appropriately for easy identification.
  • Prepare and maintain weekly receiving reports for records.
  • Manage the allocation and billing of inventory to various stores.
  • Provide updates to stores regarding back orders and pending shipments.
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies in inventory counts.
  • Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organized, and efficient.
  • Organize and oversee quarterly inventory audits.
  • Handle monthly invoicing related to departmental service requests.
  • Assist the Purchasing Agent with procurement for both the department and ongoing projects.
  • Track and manage incoming shipments related to projects.
  • Coordinate fleet maintenance, repairs, and parts procurement.

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least two years of experience in inventory management and purchasing.
  • Familiarity with inventory par levels.
  • Knowledge of importation processes.
  • Experience with inventory management systems.
  • Ability to perform valuation reporting.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in computer applications.
  • Competence in Microsoft Word and Excel.
