Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front Office Operations Manager to join our team at Hotel Nia. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the front office operations, supervising front office staff, and ensuring exceptional guest service and sustainability standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support front office staff to ensure they perform in accordance with established hotel standards and consistent with our core values.
  • Front Office Operations: Oversee all front office operations in the absence of the Front Office Manager or Assistant General Manager, ensuring seamless guest service and efficient hotel operations.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Monitor guest satisfaction scores and work towards increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
  • Financial Management: Assist in monitoring front office financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting controls and procedures.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in development, implementation, and monitoring of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual department-wide budgets and forecasts.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure front office supplies and merchandise for the gift shop and/or market are fully stocked, and inventory is maintained.
  • Group Management: Work with the Sales office to ensure group resumes and group rooming lists are inputted and maintained.
  • Occupancy Management: Monitor occupancy of guest room space to ensure the most efficient use and minimize overbooking.
  • Sustainability: Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to our EarthView program.
  • Health and Safety: Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of hospitality-related experience, including front desk operations experience.
Work Environment and Context
  • Work Schedule: Varying work schedule, including working on holidays and weekends, and alternate shifts.
  • Physical Demands: Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching.
