Position Summary

The Outcomes Manager embodies the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Memorial Healthcare, adhering to our Code of Ethics and compliance standards. This role is pivotal in assisting the patient care team to achieve optimal quality and outcomes for patients in a cost-efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Oversight:

  • Manage and oversee cardiovascular clinical programs, including the development of educational resources and processes for new initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with CTICU Operations Managers, Education Coordinators, and Quality Coordinators to ensure comprehensive support for clinical staff.

Evidence-Based Practice:

  • Act as a subject matter expert, guiding clinicians in accessing resources and standards of care.
  • Coordinate research initiatives and support the onboarding of new nursing staff.
  • Identify business opportunities that enhance patient experience and improve clinical capabilities.
  • Conduct complex analyses to evaluate proposed clinical initiatives and lead efforts towards achieving recognition awards.
  • Foster a culture of clinical inquiry and support staff in research and evidence-based practice initiatives.

Quality and Safety Management:

  • Identify practice gaps through assessments and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Develop and manage internal systems to measure the effectiveness of clinical initiatives.
  • Collaborate with various departments to enhance quality improvement processes.
  • Utilize data to drive performance and improve patient care quality.
  • Promote interprofessional collaboration and maintain a supportive work environment.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Active RN License in Illinois.
  • Specialty certification recognized by Magnet.
  • 2-5 years of experience in patient population studies and collaboration with care providers.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred:

  • Previous leadership experience.
  • CNS or CNL Certification.
  • Experience in CTICU settings.
