Position Summary

The Outcomes Manager embodies the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Memorial Healthcare, adhering to the organization's ethical standards and compliance protocols. This role is essential in guiding the patient care team to achieve optimal quality and outcomes for patients while ensuring cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Oversight:

  • Manage and oversee cardiovascular clinical programs, including the development of educational initiatives and processes for new programs.
  • Collaborate closely with operational managers, educational coordinators, and medical directors to enhance the professional development of clinical staff.

Evidence-Based Practice:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert, guiding clinicians in accessing resources and standards of care.
  • Coordinate research initiatives and onboarding processes for new staff within cardiovascular programs.
  • Identify business opportunities that enhance patient experience and clinical reputation.
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses to evaluate potential clinical initiatives and lead efforts towards achieving recognition awards.
  • Foster a culture of clinical inquiry and support staff in research and evidence-based practice.

Quality and Safety Management:

  • Identify practice gaps through assessments and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Develop and manage systems to measure the effectiveness of clinical initiatives.
  • Collaborate with various departments to establish quality improvement processes.
  • Utilize data to drive performance improvements and enhance patient care quality.
  • Promote interprofessional collaboration and maintain a supportive work environment.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse License in Illinois.
  • Specialty certification recognized by Magnet.
  • 2-5 years of experience in patient population studies and care provider collaboration.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred:

  • Leadership experience.
  • CNS or CNL Certification.
  • Experience in Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit.
