Job Summary
The University of Chicago Medicine seeks a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Assistant Director of our Neurosciences Clinics department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the development and execution of strategy for Neuro-Diagnostics and Teleservices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans to improve operational efficiency and patient outcomes.
- Support activities related to strategic operations, financial outcomes, patient experience, and clinical outcomes across the UCM Health System.
- Collaborate with Managers/Directors within the service line to plan, enhance revenue cycle, design and improve LEAN processes, analyze workflow and logistical operations, reduce costs, and control capital and operational budgets.
- Work with physicians to understand economic considerations and increase physician/hospital alignment.
- Provide clinical oversight of neuro-procedure areas and productivity.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare administration required.
- Minimum 4-6 years' experience with healthcare management, with specific experience in fiscal oversight and operations required.
- Experience managing neuro diagnostics suites and clinics.
- Strong knowledge of expense reduction strategies, financial performance measurement, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Knowledge of capital acquisition process and skilled in decision making for strategic investments and ROI analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated leadership qualities, and a record of related accomplishments.
- Able to navigate effectively with high-level internal and external contacts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree preferred.
- Academic medical center experience.
- Knowledge and experience of hospital billing.
- Knowledge of purchasing and supply distribution procedures.
