Community Youth Services' Integrated Counseling Division is in search of a technology professional with a strong commitment to healthcare innovation. We are looking for an Electronic Health Records (EHR) Optimization Specialist to become an integral part of our team. This position is vital for the successful deployment and upkeep of EHR/EMR systems, ensuring they operate smoothly and efficiently. Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with an EHR/EMR system.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL databases, with practical experience.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or PowerShell.
  • Comprehension of healthcare industry practices, workflows, and EHR terminology.
  • Awareness of healthcare data security standards (HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2) and relevant state regulations.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with team members from various backgrounds.
  • Ability to identify trends in healthcare data and contribute to enhancing program quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • EHR Expertise: Utilize your extensive experience with EHR/EMR systems to support our ICD team. Your expertise in SQL databases and scripting languages will be crucial.
  • System Optimization: Create and refine SQL database solutions to improve system performance and data management.
  • Data Security Compliance: Ensure adherence to healthcare data security standards, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, prioritizing the protection of patient information.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with the ICD team and stakeholders to foster continuous improvements in healthcare program quality.
  • Expert Data Analysis: Apply your analytical skills to detect trends, resolve issues, and support informed decision-making.

Agency Qualifications:

  1. Successfully pass a thorough background check with no history of harm, especially to children or vulnerable adults.
  2. Maintain a clean criminal record, demonstrating integrity in both professional and personal conduct.
  3. Possess a valid Washington State Driver's License with a minimum of five years of driving experience and a good driving record for the past three years.
  4. Provide proof of auto insurance with coverage of $100,000 or more.
  5. Exhibit cultural sensitivity and the ability to address the diverse needs of the community.
  6. Obtain CPR/1st Aid/Bloodborne Pathogen certification within 30 days of employment (required for certain positions).
  7. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
