Position Overview

The Senior Systems Architecture Lead at DevSelect is tasked with the design and implementation of operational solutions to enhance the IT department's capabilities utilizing Microsoft's System Center suite of tools.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Systems Architecture Lead will:

  • Provide expert technical direction and leadership for the Microsoft System Center platform and its associated services.
  • Balance departmental needs and requirements concerning operational toolsets, developing comprehensive plans to address these diverse needs.
  • Update or enhance existing functionalities to bridge identified gaps in service delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with the Service Owner to maintain, operate, and enhance service delivery.
  • Develop and sustain a technical roadmap that aligns with business process requirements and emerging technical trends.
  • Manage and prioritize a product backlog to facilitate timely project deliveries and ongoing engineering efforts.
  • Engage in project delivery alongside project managers and Systems Engineers.
  • Author and refine internal operational documentation for the System Center platform.
  • Deliver relevant training to team members on the System Center platform.
  • Act as a primary escalation point for specialized knowledge within the Incident/Problem Management framework.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Experience: 7-15 years in the IT industry, particularly within enterprise IT organizations.
  • Management Experience: At least 3 years in a management capacity.
  • Education: An undergraduate degree is required, preferably in an IS-related field; a graduate degree in business is advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Over 5 years of extensive technical expertise with the Microsoft System Center toolset, including mastery of tools such as SCOM, SCSM, SCCM, and SCVMM.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of Windows Server /2012R2 operating system features and functionalities.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical details into business-oriented language.
  • Certifications: MCSE certification is required; multiple Microsoft certifications are preferred.
