Position Title: Consumer Credit Reporting Specialist
Location: Remote, United States

Job Summary: Flagstar Bank, N.A. is looking for a dedicated individual to become part of our Credit Reporting team as a Specialist.

This role is crucial for addressing daily consumer credit disputes that arise through various channels, including e-OSCAR and direct submissions (such as efaxes, mail, emails, and tickets from the customer service center). The Specialist will conduct thorough research across multiple platforms, including but not limited to: MSP, DNA, eOSCAR, GCC Browser, IDM, Black Knight Desktop, and Credit Repository software (Experian, Equifax, Innovis, and Transunion), as well as Bankruptcy Court information systems and online search engines.

Additionally, this position involves the examination of both internal and external audit findings to assess their accuracy and implement necessary corrections. The Specialist will also be responsible for verifying and validating monthly reports from MSP and Credit Bureau Repositories to ensure the precision of credit reporting accounts. Meeting project deadlines is essential, and candidates should demonstrate initiative, a willingness to engage with both internal and external clients, and a strong desire for continuous learning.


Compensation:
Local Minimum Wage - $24.00

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with internal and external clients effectively.
  • Manage daily reports, investigate, and resolve discrepancies within the department's timelines.
  • Verify mortgage documentation to ensure system integrity and prepare documents for incoming requests.
  • Support departmental functions, including cross-training and involvement in special projects.
  • Participate in ongoing training to remain updated on compliance standards, system enhancements, and departmental protocols.

Ensures adherence to relevant federal, state, and local regulations. Completes all mandatory compliance training and maintains familiarity with Flagstar's internal compliance policies and procedures. Takes proactive steps to stay informed about evolving regulations and policies.


Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Specialized Training:
  • Black Knight Mortgage Servicing Platform.
  • 1-3 years of experience in mortgage servicing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
