Impactful Contributions

In this role, you will oversee all facets of the investigation process, which includes the development of investigation strategies, pinpointing and delegating pertinent inquiries, and reporting your findings. You will support claims adjusters in advancing claims and utilize your knowledge to mitigate fraud risks to AIG.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and secure physical and documentary evidence to bolster investigations.
  • Coordinate essential investigative methods and resources, such as fieldwork, interviews, and ensuring the quality of all cases is precise, timely, and suitable.
  • Provide testimony and present evidence in administrative and criminal court proceedings as necessary.
  • Establish and nurture professional relationships with insured parties, legal representatives, corporate staff, vendors, law enforcement, and relevant fraud organizations.
  • Conduct targeted claims assessments across all business lines within AIG as assigned, including analysis, documentation of outcomes, and recommendations for enhancements.
  • Accurately identify and log all financial impacts for cases in the case management system.
  • Assist local management and GIS in meeting key deliverables and business objectives.
  • Maintain awareness of and comply with local laws regarding information-gathering techniques in operational countries.
  • Provide intelligence feedback to claims and underwriting teams concerning loss trends and future fraud mitigation opportunities.
  • Manage all aspects of claims investigations, including analyzing facts, reviewing witness statements, and gathering information through interviews.
  • Prepare clear and concise written reports of investigations when required.
  • Develop and deliver fraud training tailored to various business lines supported by AIG.
  • Support the team with ad-hoc tasks, projects, and other assignments as directed by management.

Qualifications for Success

  • A college degree is preferred or equivalent professional experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of criminal and civil justice systems, along with relevant data and compliance regulations.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, coupled with a thorough understanding of MS Office applications.
  • Familiarity with local customs, insurance markets, and languages is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage workflows and pursue leads that support fraud cases.
  • Capacity to work under tight deadlines when necessary.
  • Advanced knowledge in investigating General Insurance Consumer & Personal Lines of insurance is a plus.
  • Proficiency in analyzing complex data sets to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • PC skills and experience with various database search systems, internet, and social networking for investigative purposes.
