Senior Claims Management Specialist

RSUI Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Claims Management Specialist to oversee our Management Liability and Employment Practices Liability (EPL) claims division. This role is essential in delivering specialized expertise in the handling of complex claims.

This position operates under a hybrid work model, requiring three days in the office each week.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations into employment practices and management liability claims.
- Proactively manage complex claims, including litigation and high-exposure cases.
- Deliver timely and precise coverage assessments while collaborating with defense counsel to evaluate liability and strategize litigation defenses.
- Analyze legal documents and motion practices related to claims, providing insightful reports.
- Coordinate with coverage counsel to ensure effective communication with the insurer.
- Maintain ongoing updates and reporting to claims leadership.
- Participate in or support litigation and coverage mediations.
- Provide detailed reporting on claims to unit and team leaders, including recommendations for reserving and action plans.
- Independently assess claim exposures within assigned authority limits.
- Engage in business-related functions, including team meetings and company events.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Juris Doctor (JD) preferred; a college degree or equivalent experience is required.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in handling Management Liability and EPL claims, with a strong technical background.
- Experience as an attorney is preferred.
- Possession of an adjuster's license is required, or the ability to obtain and maintain necessary licenses.
- Strong analytical and technical skills are essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.
- Proficient understanding of customer service principles, both internal and external.
- Current knowledge of specialized claims handling, legal issues, civil procedures, and principles of investigation.
- Experience in specialized claims handling, particularly in employment practices, is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) is required.
