About the Role

Harrison Gray Search and Consulting LLC is partnering with a leading specialty insurance carrier to find a highly skilled Chief Claims Specialist. Our client is a well-established company with a strong reputation in the industry, seeking a professional to join their Atlanta-based Claims department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a designated segment of complex, high-value claims exposures, working closely with the Unit Leader to plan and execute investigation, settlement negotiations, or denial.
  • Provide regular reporting to the Unit Leader and/or Senior Management, recommending and/or confirming reserves, plan of action, and current evaluation as required.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with professionals, management, underwriters, attorneys, corporate insureds, producers, and other insurance company representatives.
  • Exhibit integrity and trust in all interactions.
  • Handle policy interpretation, coverage issues, statutes, and state regulations, as well as litigation management, investigations, adjustments, file documentation, case negotiation, and settlement strategies.
  • Attend business-related functions, such as team meetings, mediations, trials, and company events.
Requirements
  • College degree or equivalent property claims experience.
  • Minimum 10+ years of property claims experience, with at least 5+ years of experience in E&S commercial property claims.
  • Adjuster's license required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including telephone, email, and interpersonal communication.
  • Excellent customer focus.
  • Advanced technical experience in areas including policy interpretation, coverage analysis, issue identification, statutes, and state regulations, claims adjusting, file documentation, investigations, litigation management, negotiation, and settlement strategies.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
