Key Responsibilities

  • Execute all teller responsibilities, including processing customer transactions and managing various aspects of Branch Capture.
  • Upload necessary files to the host and Federal Reserve systems.
  • Handle cash transactions with precision and accuracy.
  • Address issues promptly to mitigate potential losses to the institution.
  • Take ownership of work quality and accountability.
  • Balance efficiency and accuracy in transaction processing.
  • Actively listen to customer inquiries and respond effectively to assist them.
  • Identify opportunities to support customers in achieving their financial objectives through effective cross-selling and referrals.
  • Ensure the security of the bank and its clientele by maintaining a high level of security awareness.
  • Adhere to all departmental policies and procedures to comply with bank regulations.
  • Follow established operating procedures diligently.
  • Implement safety and soundness protocols during bank operations.
  • Participate in all required training sessions and adapt to new concepts and procedures.
  • Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.

Supervisory Role

No supervisory responsibilities are associated with this position.

Work Environment

This position is situated in a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers and telephones.

Physical Requirements

Must be capable of lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally and may need to stand for extended periods.

Position Type and Work Hours

This is a full-time, non-exempt role with a schedule that includes weekdays and some weekends.

Travel Requirements

No travel is necessary for this position.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in cash handling and customer service.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately.
  • Proficient in computer operations.
  • Exhibit positive and supportive behavior.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Possess effective communication skills.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to cross-sell banking products.
  • Proven success in a collaborative team environment.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

1 year of experience as a bank teller is preferred.
