Client Intake and Assessment Coordinator (Bilingual Preferred)

Salary Range: $53,481 - $64,177 (USD) Annually

Work Environment:

This position supports a hybrid work model, allowing for both in-office and remote engagement with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

The Client Intake Coordinator serves as the initial point of contact for prospective Early Start and ongoing clients at the Regional Center. This role involves providing essential information regarding services and gathering data to assess eligibility and potential support options. Travel to various locations for meetings may be required. Proficiency in both written and spoken Spanish is essential.
  • Client Interaction:
    • Gather comprehensive intake information from applicants seeking GGRC services and direct qualified clients to the Assessment Team.
    • Document intake details and observations into the system.
    • Verify the client's initial status within the Regional Center framework.
    • Offer general information and referrals concerning available resources and services to clients and inquiries.
    • Clarify GGRC's procedures and policies, including relevant legislation and rights.
    • Connect clients with additional community resources as necessary.
    • Ensure compliance with established timelines and procedural requirements.
  • Data Management:
    • Maintain a comprehensive database of inquiries and documentation from applicants.
    • Complete and uphold all necessary forms, documentation, and reports in accordance with regulations.
    • Assess residency status based on established guidelines.
    • Evaluate and determine the suitability of service applications.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Provide information and referral services consistently.
    • Compile monthly statistics.
    • Assist in identifying referrals for outreach initiatives.
    • Support the unit with administrative tasks as required.
    • Engage in special projects and assist with additional responsibilities as assigned.
All client information must be maintained confidentially in compliance with federal regulations and state laws.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant human services field, ideally social work.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in client interaction and evaluation.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Desirable experience in Early Childhood Development.
  • Preferred background in Case Management.
  • Experience in multicultural environments and/or multilingual capabilities.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with Spanish-speaking clients.
  • Strong interviewing skills and capacity to assess individual needs while documenting detailed notes.
  • Exceptional communication skills for producing professional documents and conveying complex information succinctly.
  • Familiarity with issues related to developmental disabilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Adobe software.
  • Competent in operating standard office equipment.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Demonstrated initiative and decision-making skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a customer-focused approach.
