Position Overview:

The Intake and Assessment Specialist plays a crucial role as the initial contact for prospective clients seeking services through the Regional Center. This position is vital in guiding individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities towards a path of opportunity and independence.

Salary Range:
$53,481 - $64,177 (USD) Annually

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Interaction: Engage with applicants to gather essential intake information and assess eligibility for GGRC services.
  • Information Management: Input and maintain accurate records of client interactions and ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Resource Referral: Provide general information and direct clients to appropriate community resources and services.
  • Data Confidentiality: Uphold the confidentiality of all client information in accordance with HIPAA and relevant state laws.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant human services field, ideally social work.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in client engagement and evaluation.
  • Familiarity with the developmental disabilities sector and early childhood development is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Spanish or Cantonese is preferred but not mandatory.

Skills Required:
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Competence in using MS Office and basic office equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and sound decision-making.
