POSITION SUMMARY:

As the Senior Vice President of Mortgage Servicing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the mortgage servicing division by providing strategic insights, effective leadership, and collaborative support to our stakeholders and clients. This role requires strict adherence to compliance and regulatory standards established by governing bodies and our organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Formulate and implement strategic initiatives for mortgage servicing operations that align with the broader goals of the organization.
  • Lead and inspire the mortgage servicing team, promoting a culture of excellence, teamwork, and innovation.

Operational Management:

· Supervise all facets of mortgage servicing operations, encompassing payment processing, escrow management, loan modifications, default handling, and investor reporting.

· Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations, including RESPA, TILA, and CFPB standards.

· Drive the adoption of best practices and process enhancements to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Risk Mitigation:

· Design and execute risk management strategies to minimize operational, compliance, and credit risks linked to mortgage servicing activities.

· Track key performance indicators and metrics to proactively identify and address potential risks.

Customer Engagement:

· Advocate for a customer-focused approach in mortgage servicing, ensuring prompt and accurate resolution of customer inquiries and issues.

· Launch initiatives aimed at improving overall customer satisfaction and experience.

Vendor Oversight:

· Cultivate relationships with external vendors and servicing partners, including loan servicers, technology providers, and legal advisors.

· Assess vendor performance to ensure compliance with service level agreements and contractual commitments.

Financial Oversight:

· Support the Executive Vice President in managing the servicing budget, optimizing resource distribution, and controlling expenditures.

· Evaluate financial performance metrics and offer insights to senior leadership to aid in decision-making.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Conduct process management reviews to ensure optimal operational performance.

· Proficient in Encompass administration.

· In-depth knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and VA guidelines, as well as FNMA and FHLMC's automated systems.

· Familiarity with RESPA guidelines to keep staff updated on regulatory changes.

· Adaptable to changes in business operations with minimal notice, maintaining high performance levels.

· Strong customer service orientation.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Exemplary professionalism and effective communication skills are essential.

EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

· At least 10 years of experience in mortgage servicing, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.

· Comprehensive understanding of mortgage servicing regulations, industry trends, and best practices.

· Proven success in strategic planning, process enhancement, and risk management.

· Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with a talent for motivating and inspiring others.

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

· Familiarity with mortgage servicing software and systems; experience with FICS's Mortgage Servicer is a plus.
