Job Title: Coding Quality Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Coding Quality Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Revenue Cycle/Health Information Management department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of medical coding and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze medical records to assign accurate codes and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Investigate and resolve coding and reimbursement denials from third-party carriers.
  • Collaborate with department management to improve and maintain the efficiency and accuracy of the coding process.
  • Communicate complex coding issues and auditing concerns to department leadership.
  • Stay up-to-date with federal and state regulations related to coding and integrate applicable regulations into current processes.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Health Information Management or related field.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in inpatient coding.
  • Must have at least one of the following credentials: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, COC, CIC, CRC, CAISS, or CSTR.
