Job Title: Water Quality Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Quality Analyst to join our team at the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). As a Water Quality Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the protection of Idaho's air, land, and water.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct groundwater monitoring and ensure groundwater is protected.
  • Oversee Point of Compliance determinations for Mines.
  • Implement the Drinking Water Source Protection and Source Water Protection Programs.
  • Provide groundwater representation for the Boise Regional Office.
Requirements:
  • Possession of a bachelor's degree in the physical or biological sciences, political science, business or public administration, engineering, or related natural resources management field.
  • At least four (4) years' experience managing and implementing projects or component(s) of programs that are environmental, regulatory, or administrative in nature.
  • Education and experience in the areas of aquifer assessment, aquifer protection, ground water or surface and drinking water pollution.
