Position Overview

Abacus Technology Corporation is in search of a Systems Integration Specialist to deliver expert technical assistance for the Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence, and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate. This role is a full-time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee program management and execution of task orders while applying expertise in technical requirements formulation, strategic planning, cybersecurity, and Information Assurance (IA).
  • Utilize knowledge of Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) assessments, spectrum management, standards application, IT analysis, engineering evaluations, and testing protocols.
  • Ensure that integrated system components meet compatibility and performance standards (including operational, technical, derived, horizontal, and inherited) throughout the lifecycle of defense systems.
  • Conduct interoperability analysis for Command, Control, Communications (C3), IT, and ISR System of Systems; analyze and test machine-to-machine data exchanges and technology flows.
  • Lead mission planning initiatives, architecture design and evaluation; manage COMSEC processes; engage in Communications Engineering; conduct Interoperability Testing; ensure Standards Compliance; and analyze encryption technologies.
  • Evaluate protective technologies for Critical Protected Information (CPI) and assess the technical adequacy and compatibility of system interfaces, including integration of unmanned and manned aircraft.
  • Design and assess interfaces, technologies, and solutions for weapon systems that enable standards-based and secure interactions with C3 and ISR systems.
  • Provide engineering expertise to support embedded communications and information technology systems and subsystems that facilitate secure weapon operations in networked environments.

Qualifications

Minimum of 15 years of experience in systems integration and interoperability engineering. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is required; a Master's degree is preferred. Additional professional experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements. Significant experience with Secure User Interaction in Networked C3, IT, and ISR System of Systems or Multi-Service Strategic, Theater, and Tactical Logistics IT Systems is essential. Familiarity with Sparx and/or Magic Draw applications for the development of DoDAF 2/SysML architecture products is desirable. Experience with DevOps and agile methodologies is also preferred. Ability to cultivate effective working relationships with clients is crucial. Strong customer service, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are required. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and possess a current Top Secret clearance.
