Position Overview

Abacus Technology Corporation is in search of a Project Schedule Engineer responsible for creating and sustaining comprehensive project timelines for various initiatives within the Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and oversee the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), ensuring effective communication and collaboration among all functional areas within the Project Management Office (PMO).
  • Generate technical scheduling outputs, including GANTT charts and network diagrams, to support project objectives.
  • Provide integrated schedule management support for system acquisition processes, ensuring alignment with critical schedule requirements to facilitate mission success.
  • Assist in the development of requirements, preparation of plans, and evaluation of the ability to meet project goals.
  • Effectively communicate schedule objectives, plans, and progress to stakeholders, including customers, project teams, and management.
  • Proactively initiate corrective measures as needed to ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in project support and scheduling, with at least 3 years dedicated to Department of Defense (DoD) programs. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, although additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree qualifications. Proficiency in scheduling tools, particularly Microsoft Project, is essential. Familiarity with various contract types, including Cost Plus, Time and Material (T&M), and Firm Fixed Price (FFP), is advantageous. The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective communication skills with colleagues and management at all organizational levels, along with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. U.S. citizenship and a current Secret clearance are mandatory.
