Job Summary

The Clinical Coordinator is a vital member of the healthcare team at Iredell Memorial Hospital Incorporated, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and coordinating nursing activities. This role requires a strong nursing background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and perform nursing care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Delegate nursing activities to team members, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Coordinate patient assessments, care planning, and implementation, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels with staff, patients, and families, promoting a culture of transparency and respect.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with the Director and Assistant Director to facilitate staff development, education, and training, ensuring a skilled and competent workforce.
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse Licensure in North Carolina.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Certification in BCLS.
  • ACLS required.
  • PALS or ENPC required.
  • Physical hold training within 30 days of hire.
  • Successful completion of a hospital and unit-specific orientation, including age and population-specific skills for the area of practice.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 100lbs with assistance or assistive devices.
  • Good visual acuity for patient assessment, medication administration, and documentation of care.
  • Good hearing essential for accurate patient assessment.
