Job Overview

The Clinical Nurse Specialist is responsible for prescribing nursing care, delegating nursing tasks, and coordinating the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care to ensure the highest quality of service, aligned with the hospital's mission and nursing philosophy, objectives, and standards. This role has comprehensive access to patient health information.

Work Schedule: Required to work every Saturday, Sunday, and one weekday every other week (30 hours per week).

Qualifications:
  • Active Registered Nurse Licensure in North Carolina.
  • Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
  • Completion of a hospital and unit-specific orientation, which includes age and population-specific skills relevant to the practice area and addresses the growth and development needs of the patients receiving care.
  • Ability to perform a full range of body motions to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting for extended periods. Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds.
