Job Summary

The Clinical Coordinator is a key member of the healthcare team at Iredell Memorial Hospital Incorporated, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and leading nursing staff to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Direct and coordinate the activities of nursing staff to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
    • Collaborate with the Director and Assistant Director to develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
  • Patient Care
    • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
    • Delegate nursing activities to staff members and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Communication and Education
    • Facilitate communication between staff, patients, and families to ensure seamless care transitions.
    • Provide education and training to nursing staff on best practices and new procedures.
  • Quality and Safety
    • Monitor and evaluate patient care to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
    • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • Current Registered Nurse licensure in North Carolina.
    • BSN preferred.
    • Certification in BCLS.
    • ACLS required.
    • PALS or ENPC required.
  • Experience and Skills
    • Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience.
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds; may occasionally lift up to 100lbs with assistance or assistive devices.
    • Good visual acuity required for patient assessment, medication administration, and documentation of care.
    • Good hearing essential for accurate patient assessment.
