Business Development Representative

This role centers on cultivating strong relationships with business owners across diverse industries, both public and private. Your primary responsibilities will involve initiating and nurturing these connections through strategic networking and insightful conversations. You'll play a crucial part in identifying promising acquisition opportunities, conducting preliminary financial assessments, and guiding deals towards successful completion.

This position offers a high degree of autonomy and accountability from day one, allowing you to make a tangible impact on the firm's growth trajectory.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain connections with C-Level executives across various businesses.
  • Refine and enhance our existing database of potential partners and collaborations.
  • Evaluate and assess deals based on JJ Astor and Co's investment criteria.
  • Collaborate closely with the underwriting team to secure and navigate deals through due diligence.
  • Actively participate in industry events and conferences to expand our network.
  • Work alongside the investment and senior management teams to analyze and finalize deals.

Qualifications:

  • 3-6 years of proven experience in a business development capacity.
  • A genuine passion for working in a fast-paced, results-oriented sales environment.
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • A strong interest in business development, capital markets, and private equity.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with senior management.
