Job Overview

Position: Associate Consultant

As an Associate Consultant, you will play a vital role in executing essential project tasks for clients within the life sciences sector, particularly focusing on commercial strategy. Collaborating closely with senior leadership, including Partners and Managers, you will be tasked with generating the analytical groundwork that informs project insights and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support daily project operations, including both primary and secondary market research.
  • Summarize critical findings from market analysis succinctly.
  • Develop client presentations and reports using PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Assist in project management tasks, such as organizing meetings with internal teams and clients.
  • Engage in the creation of research instruments utilized across the organization.
  • Contribute to the development of scholarly articles, conference presentations, and white papers.

Recent Projects Include:

  • Identifying and prioritizing product positioning opportunities for a pioneering pharmaceutical company.
  • Refining a five-year strategic plan for a drug delivery organization, which includes an environmental analysis, case studies, and financial evaluations of strategic options.
  • Creating a strategic framework to enhance the value of a recent acquisition in relation to the client’s existing offerings.
  • Conducting a commercial evaluation of a novel biosimilar across multiple regions, assessing clinical requirements, regulatory viability, and stakeholder acceptance.

Qualifications:

  • Highly driven individuals with strong analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A dedication to client service and producing high-quality deliverables.
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, with an average of less than four nights away per month.
  • Availability for occasional evening and weekend work as project demands arise.

Education & Experience:

  • PhD, PharmD, or another advanced degree in life sciences.
  • Preferred: At least one year of full-time experience in strategy consulting.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position reflects various factors considered in compensation decisions, including skills, market demand, experience, and specific qualifications. The estimated base salary for this role is between $94,000 and $118,000, with a bonus target of 20%.
