Position: Associate Consultant
As an Associate Consultant, you will play a vital role in supporting the execution of essential project tasks for our clients within the life sciences sector, specifically focusing on commercial strategy. Collaborating closely with Partners, Managers, and Consultants, you will be tasked with generating the analytical foundation upon which project recommendations and conclusions are derived.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engaging in daily project activities, including both primary and secondary market research.
- Summarizing critical insights from market research in a clear and concise manner.
- Developing client deliverables utilizing PowerPoint and/or Excel.
- Assisting in project management tasks, such as organizing internal and client meetings.
- Contributing to the development of research tools that will be employed across the organization.
- Participating in the creation of scholarly articles, conference presentations, and white papers.
Recent Engagements:
- Identification and prioritization of portfolio opportunities for a pioneering pharmaceutical company.
- Refinement of a corporate strategic plan for a drug delivery organization, which included an environmental assessment, case studies, and financial evaluations of strategic options.
- Formulation of a strategic plan aimed at optimizing the return on a recent acquisition in relation to the client's existing portfolio and service offerings.
- Commercial evaluation of a novel biosimilar across multiple regions, assessing clinical requirements, regulatory feasibility, and stakeholder acceptance.
Candidate Profile:
- Highly driven individuals with exceptional critical thinking abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A commitment to client service and the delivery of high-quality work.
- Integrity and adherence to ethical business practices.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, with an average of less than four nights away per month.
- Availability for occasional evening and weekend work as project demands dictate.
Qualifications:
- PhD, PharmD, or other advanced degrees in life sciences.
- Preferred: At least one year of full-time experience in strategy consulting.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is influenced by various factors, including skill sets, market demand, training, experience, and specific qualifications. The estimated base salary for this role is between $94k and $118k, with a bonus target of 20%.
