POSITION SUMMARY:


Accountable for the effective coordination and oversight of all operations related to Guest Room Attendants, Status Board/Dispatch, and Administrative Clerks, ensuring that a superior level of cleanliness is consistently achieved and upheld in all guest accommodations.

Associates at Choctaw Resort Development Enterprise are expected to consistently adhere to all company and departmental policies, practices, and procedures.

Contribute to a safe working environment by complying with established safety protocols, identifying potential hazards, and reporting them to the appropriate personnel for resolution.

Uphold a professional reputation for the department, company, and community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct inspections of each assigned guest room prior to guest occupancy to guarantee cleanliness and presentation, facilitating a swift turnover to the Front Desk.

Maintain accurate records of rooms that have received cleaning approval as well as those requiring additional cleaning and maintenance.
Guide, support, and supervise Room Attendants and Dispatch and Administrative Clerks in executing their daily tasks effectively.
Provide direction to Guest Room Attendants regarding quality assurance, work methods, and safety concerns.
Monitor the computer system to track room availability for cleaning and maintenance purposes.

Assume responsibility for the security of a "Pass Key" during the assigned shift, returning it to housekeeping management at the end of the shift.

Ensure adequate supplies of linens, cleaning agents, and amenities are maintained, reordering and restocking as necessary.

Maintain appropriate staffing levels within the Housekeeping Department by training, scheduling, evaluating, assisting with career development, promoting, and disciplining as required.

Offer constructive suggestions and recommendations to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
Lead by example, setting a positive standard for all Associates.
Maintain a consistent and reliable attendance record.

Document all lost and found items in the logbook and ensure items are placed in the lost and found box; money, jewelry, and electronics should be reported to security immediately.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES:

Directly oversees the daily activities of all Guest Room Attendants, Status Board/Dispatch Clerks, and Administrative Clerks during the assigned shift.

Indirectly supervises the activities of all Housemen on the assigned shift.
Executes supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining Associates; addressing complaints and resolving issues.


QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. AGE and GAMING:
Must be 21 years of age or older. Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the appropriate gaming authority.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
A High School diploma or GED is required.

Preferred qualifications include two (2) years of supervisory experience in hotel cleaning and/or an Associate of Arts Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Six (6) months to one (1) year of relevant experience and/or training is preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS:
Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.

LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence. Ability to write basic instructions and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Essential responsibilities include moderate to heavy physical activity such as lifting or maneuvering at least fifty (50) to seventy-five (75) pounds, and standing/walking for 90% of the shift.

Push or pull service carts weighing approximately seventy-five (75) to one hundred (100) pounds to designated areas. Work with computers for approximately 10% of the assigned shift. Perform job responsibilities and/or essential functions on slippery or wet surfaces. Handle hazardous chemicals while wearing appropriate protective gear. Bending, stooping, and stretching may be required during the assigned shift.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:


The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Associate may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.

The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. Associates may be exposed to tobacco smoke in designated areas.

Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality and entertainment industry, Associates must be prepared to work varying schedules to meet the business needs of the property.
