Senior M&A Project Leader

UHY LLP, Certified Public Accountants, is seeking a Senior Manager of M&A Projects to enhance our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in M&A divestitures, coupled with robust project management skills. This role requires a self-motivated individual with exceptional critical thinking abilities and a comprehensive understanding of Transition Services Agreements (TSA).
The Senior Manager of M&A Projects position is a hybrid role, requiring in-office presence on designated weekdays. This is a direct hire opportunity with our esteemed client.
Key Qualifications for the Senior Manager of M&A Projects:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree; advanced degrees in relevant fields are preferred.
- Demonstrated success in overseeing M&A activities.
- Proficient in drafting and managing TSAs.
- Extensive project management experience with well-honed critical thinking skills.
- Ability to leverage organizational knowledge and collaborate with cross-functional teams to expedite project delivery.
- General understanding of business processes across various functions and standard financial metrics.
- Strong collaborative skills, with the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional presentation skills, capable of conveying complex strategic ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with strong financial, legal, and business acumen.
- Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Strong organizational skills and follow-up capabilities, along with transparent communication and a proactive work ethic.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, as required.
Responsibilities of the Senior Manager of M&A Projects:
- Oversee M&A-related projects to ensure successful execution in line with project plans, providing recommendations to stakeholders and holding cross-functional teams accountable for timely deliverables while maintaining project schedules and budgets.
- Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of TSAs, with experience in their formulation and assessment.
- Manage project execution for M&A divestiture initiatives, supporting pre-close, post-close, and separation processes.
- Assess contracts and operational requirements, including pricing and service structures, and develop strategies to address gaps with new services, systems, personnel, processes, or contracts.
- Facilitate activities and cost tracking to maximize value.
- Provide regular reporting and status updates to leadership, ensuring alignment among stakeholders, proactively addressing potential issues and risks, and facilitating timely decision-making.
- Actively manage project timelines, including meeting schedules, reporting frameworks, tools/templates, and established processes and procedures.
