Position Overview:

The Regional Sales Leader will be accountable for implementing the strategic objectives of the Food Service Division, focusing on convenience stores and f'real products within their designated territory and sales team. This role necessitates collaboration with national resources, including the Customer Marketing and Culinary Team, to drive growth and meet market goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively implement segment strategies and stimulate growth within convenience stores.
  • Oversee and manage direct accounts and designated distributors.
  • Collaborate with Food Service Division team members (and brokers if necessary) to promote segment expansion.
  • Serve as a liaison to the Food Service Division in establishing processes and protocols for a direct sales force.
  • Develop, enhance (in conjunction with the Director of Convenience Stores), and execute customer and market strategies within the assigned territory, including:
  • Measurable penetration of the designated convenience store account list with key growth categories, including f'real.
  • Proactively driving distributor access and operator engagement for new product initiatives.
  • Design promotions that encourage growth with clients, including incremental cup sales and trade show initiatives.
  • Implement equipment discounts to boost new placements and swaps.
  • Achieve volume and margin objectives, including solidifying base growth, strategic category expansion, meeting new product targets, and capturing RONA/GM.
  • Maintain transparent governance of all assigned market responsibilities: volume/sales, budgets, promotional/event calendars, through pipeline and zone governance metrics.
  • Support Food Service Division intelligence initiatives on key CBU platforms and products.
  • Establish effective relationships with key Tier 1 and Tier 2 distributor contacts in the market.
  • Participate in and lead sales meetings, customer/distributor evaluations, and product training for customers and distributor sales teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (in business management, finance, economics, or marketing).
  • A minimum of 7 years in the Food Service Industry or a related field.
  • Prior experience engaging with convenience stores is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing complex projects.
  • Demonstrated change management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Financial acumen, with an understanding of P&L statements and performance metrics. Capability to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Competency in multitasking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting.
  • Highly self-disciplined and organized self-starter.
  • Proven influential skills.
  • Competency in sales management and systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Salesforce or other CRM systems.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, distributors, and team members.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
