The primary goal of the Software Engineer is to maximize the value our clients derive from our systems. This encompasses crafting high-quality code to manage the systems we deliver, promptly addressing issues impacting our clients, and collaborating to enhance future systems.

Job Responsibilities

As an Embedded Software Engineer, your duties will include:

  • Collaborating with a team of expert software developers to create software that supports the continuous miniaturization of semiconductor technology.
  • Employing Agile methodologies to develop software utilizing C, C++, and Python.
  • Designing and architecting solutions that are modular, scalable, and robust, while fulfilling client specifications.
  • Conducting unit testing and on-target testing to ensure the software meets the high standards expected by our clients.
  • Assessing technical challenges, risks, and dependencies associated with projects.
  • Engaging with clients and stakeholders to thoroughly understand their needs.
  • Validating the stability, interoperability, portability, security, and scalability of system architecture.

You will also engage in ongoing process enhancement initiatives aimed at ensuring that the methodologies and tools employed throughout the software development lifecycle enhance the team's capacity to produce high-quality software efficiently.

Qualifications

Master's degree or bachelor's degree with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in:

  • Computer Science
  • Electrical and Computer Engineering
  • Software Engineering

Experience Requirements

Minimum qualifications - candidates must meet all minimum qualifications to be considered for the position:

  • Graduate degree (MSc or PhD) or Bachelor's degree with at least three years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in C or C++ programming languages.
  • Familiarity with software tools such as ClearCase, Jira, and Bash.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Preferred experience in writing unit tests or automated tests using Python or googletest.
