J Introduction to the role Are you motivated by overseeing key suppliers in the realm of supply chain operations, capacity management, and cycle time optimization to achieve superior supply chain effectiveness? In the intricate landscape of multi-tier supply chains, this is achievable only by fostering complete visibility within the chains and adaptability with suppliers.
The Strategic Supply Chain Leader (SSCL) identifies potential obstacles and supply vulnerabilities before they affect our production facilities and clientele. The SSCL must navigate the heightened complexity of ASML's systems while minimizing the total cost of ownership for our clients.To accomplish this, the SSCL collaborates with essential suppliers to consistently shorten cycle times, secure capacity, enhance flexibility, and elevate the supply chain performance of suppliers.
Driving supplier enhancement in these areas ensures that the ASML supply network keeps pace with technological advancements and can adjust to evolving market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Possess explicit experience in managing supply/supplier relations versus demand management or procurement/negotiation.
- Guide strategic suppliers towards achieving top-tier supply chain performance.
- Oversee all logistical and operational elements within the Supplier Account Team alongside the Account Lead (commercial aspects) and the Supply Quality Engineer (quality and technical aspects).
- Initiate projects aimed at reducing cycle times with suppliers.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage the necessary capacity, buffers, and flexibility with our strategic suppliers.
- Optimize the output of the supply chain (n-tier) to align with ASML demand and fluctuations in demand.
- Continuously assess supply chain risks and develop action plans for mitigation and improvement.
- Lead strategic supplier ramp-ups in support of investment and capacity strategies.
- Manage escalation processes to resolve systemic bottlenecks within the supply chain.
- Implement the ASML supply chain planning framework at supplier locations.
- Conduct logistical audits at new, strategic, and/or critical suppliers.
- Identify and execute internal supply chain process enhancements.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, including at least 7 years in complex supply chain processes within manufacturing or high-tech sectors.
- Knowledge and expertise in project management.
- Familiarity with new product introduction (NPI) methodologies.
- Demonstrated success in establishing and nurturing strategic relationships with suppliers.
- Experience in creating and delivering impactful presentations to senior leadership.
- Proficiency in SAP ERP software is advantageous.
