Job Summary

CDK Global is seeking a highly skilled Field Network Engineer to join our team. As a Field Network Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, maintaining, and modifying equipment at our customer sites. You will work closely with our customers to understand their needs and provide solutions to their complex network problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and Repair Network Equipment: Install and perform onsite repairs of simple network products, ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly and efficiently.
  • Provide 24/7 Support: Provide 24 x 7 support for Clients and other Field Service Representatives when requested, ensuring that all customer needs are met in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct Onsite Preventative and Corrective Maintenance: Respond to and resolve assigned onsite preventative and corrective maintenance calls, ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly and efficiently.
  • Provide High-Quality Installations and Upgrades: Provide high-quality installations, upgrades of all computer equipment sold by CDK, ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly and efficiently.
  • Accurate Documentation: Accurately and timely complete required documentation at the client site, including Port Maps, Visio Drawings, pre-site documentation, Check lists, Onsite Technical Analysis, etc.
  • Continued Education: Continuously educate yourself to remain current and increase knowledge on new and existing equipment, ensuring that you are always up-to-date on the latest technologies and solutions.
  • Represent CDK in a Professional Manner: Represent CDK in a personal and professional manner when responding to onsite service-related issues, ensuring that all customer interactions are positive and professional.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience: Minimum AA degree in Electronics, Computer Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Industry Standard PC & Network Certifications: Preferred: BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, CCNA and MCDS Certification.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to interact with upset clients and defuse possible client dissatisfaction.
  • Technical Knowledge and Skills: Strong working knowledge of Windows-based operating systems and applications, ability to operate test equipment, superior troubleshooting skills, and advance technical knowledge.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities, and work independently with little or no supervision.
