Job Title: Intake and Advocacy Specialist

Join the River Rock Casino team as an Intake and Advocacy Specialist, where you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to our clients. As a key member of our Housing Department, you will be responsible for conducting intake screenings, assessments, and benefits assistance, as well as providing resource and referral services to individuals in need of housing resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct intake screenings and assessments to determine client eligibility for housing services
  • Provide benefits assistance and resource and referral services to clients
  • Collaborate with Systems Partners to respond to referrals and follow-up
  • Ensure pre-admission criteria are met prior to admittance or disbursement of funds
  • Assist clients with benefit enrollment and accessing medical, dental, optical, psychiatric services, insurance, and other tribal and state programs
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Human Services, or related field
  • Previous experience as a screener, intake worker, social worker, case manager, or care coordinator in a public or private agency
  • At least one year of relevant experience and a demonstrated track record in a similar related area
  • Honesty, accountability, and transparency with a commitment to social justice
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills: ability to collaborate effectively with culturally diverse staff with demonstrated poise, tact, integrity, and professionalism

The work environment is fast-paced and highly diverse, requiring the ability to remain flexible and get along with all personality types. You must be able to manage several priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines, while responding calmly to customer concerns and questions.
