As a nonprofit private corporation, we partner with community-based organizations and agencies to provide advocacy, social services, support, and care coordination to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Napa, Sonoma, and Solano counties.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team as a Client Services Specialist. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide services to individuals with developmental disabilities, participate in clinical consultations with case managers, supervise interns, direct special projects, and provide community education.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct psychometric testing and psychological evaluations to determine eligibility for regional center services.
  • Assess existing psychological evaluations and provide consultation to case managers and clinical staff on the psychological aspects of developmental disabilities.
  • Participate in the interdisciplinary team client evaluation and planning process.
  • Provide consultation to staff, clients, and their families concerning the client's psychological status, progress, and needs.
  • Participate in in-service training and community education programs to meet educational needs regarding the psychological aspects of developmental disabilities.
  • Monitor and review programs at behaviorally-oriented facilities upon request.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. or Doctorate in Psychology with 2 years of experience in testing/diagnostic evaluation of people with developmental disabilities, physical handicaps, or emotional disorders.
  • Ph.D. or Doctorate in Psychology with 3 years of case management or clinical experience at North Bay Regional Center.
  • Preference will be given to psychologists licensed through the Board of Medical Examiners.
  • Minimum qualifications may be waived depending on the agency's need for specialized skills (such as language abilities).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Possession of a valid California driver's license and minimum legal automobile liability insurance.
  • The ability to provide personal automobile transportation during working hours and after-hours emergencies or access to another form of reliable transportation that meets these minimum legal requirements.
