Who We Serve

North Bay Regional Center provides advocacy, services, support, and care coordination to children and adults diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Napa, Sonoma, and Solano counties. We partner with community-based organizations and agencies to empower our clients to thrive and live as independently as possible within the diverse communities we serve.

Job Description

Are you passionate about providing support and care for individuals with developmental disabilities? Do you want to work for an organization that helps clients achieve their goals and dreams? North Bay Regional Center is a nonprofit private corporation that contracts with the Department of Developmental Services to coordinate services and support for individuals with developmental disabilities. We are looking for dedicated Support Specialists to join our team of client program coordinators.

At North Bay, we promote opportunities by supporting choices for people with developmental disabilities. As a Support Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of services to regional center clients, including those with intensive physical or emotional needs. You will ensure that each client's Individual Program Plan and its objectives are pursued.

Job Responsibilities

  • Utilize person-centered planning to assist clients in accessing public and private resources before using regional center funds to purchase services.
  • Monitor vendor services and verify that services are delivered in accordance with the purchase of service authorizations.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of clients' Individual Program Plans; ensure appropriate community resources are made available to the client.
  • Conduct annual reassessments of clients' developmental status in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Occasionally conduct client assessments.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a field related to developmental disabilities (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Special Education, and/or Nursing) is required.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
