Position Overview:
We are on the lookout for a motivated Business Development Associate to join our team at Technomic, a division of Informa Connect. This position presents an exciting opportunity to collaborate with foodservice operators, manufacturers, and other stakeholders to drive business growth.
The ideal candidate will be a self-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to advance their career in sales. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying potential clients, conducting initial outreach, and coordinating sales presentations for our Business Development team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct lead generation and prospecting to identify high-potential clients within designated territories.
- Proactively schedule calls with prospective clients through various communication channels.
- Research prospective and existing clients to uncover new sales opportunities and tailor communication strategies.
- Collaborate with Business Development Managers to implement sales strategies aimed at achieving revenue targets.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Business Development or Sales Development role, or equivalent experience.
- Strong telephone sales skills and experience in developing client relationships.
- Familiarity with lead generation tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Salesforce.
- Ability to conduct thorough research on companies and industry trends to inform outreach strategies.
- Genuine interest in the foodservice and retail sectors.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in using CRM software for tracking communications and metrics.
