Position Overview:
Apogee Engineering is seeking a dedicated Senior Financial Manager to enhance our corporate finance team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in overseeing daily accounting operations while fostering a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Generate and compile comprehensive financial statements. Conduct daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analyses while ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • General Ledger Management: Oversee all components of the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations for monthly, quarterly, and annual closures.
  • Audit and Tax Coordination: Act as the primary contact for external auditors and tax professionals. Engage in the preparation of annual audits and tax filings.
  • Internal Controls Development: Collaborate in establishing internal controls and policies to adhere to regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to deliver accurate data, reporting, and analyses that are crucial for strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • MBA preferred with at least 10 years of accounting expertise.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and GAAP.
  • Extensive experience in government contracting (10+ years preferred).
  • Proficient in Deltek Costpoint and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
