Primary Objective

The Navigators is seeking a dedicated Chief Communications Officer to lead their communications initiatives. This role entails crafting a clear vision and providing strategic direction for both internal and external communications, aimed at amplifying the organization's mission. The successful candidate will collaborate effectively across various departments to establish compelling brand messaging and communication plans tailored for a wide-ranging audience.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Management

  • Articulate and implement a strategic vision for Communications and Marketing.
  • Recruit, mentor, and cultivate a skilled communications team.
  • Oversee the development and execution of the Communications strategy.
  • Work in close partnership with the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Encourage interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Prepare and manage the annual budget for communications activities.

Additional Duties

  • Engage in professional development opportunities.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations for team members.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

Spiritual Alignment - Commitment to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators.

Experience - At least 5 years of senior-level communication leadership experience.

Technical Proficiency - Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.

Communication Skills - Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication abilities.

Educational Background - A Bachelor's degree is mandatory; an advanced degree is preferred.

Compensation Range: $125,000 - $135,000 annually
