Position Overview:

As the Lead Field Operations Technician, you will be instrumental in managing and directing field activities, ensuring the effective installation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of our telecommunications systems. Your extensive technical knowledge, combined with strong leadership abilities, will enhance the efficiency of our field operations and support the reliable delivery of telecom services to our clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Guidance:

Act as the primary contact for the field technician team, providing direction and support to ensure effective task execution. Offer technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance for intricate telecom challenges.

Field Operations Coordination:

Organize and prioritize field tasks to align with project timelines and service commitments. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to facilitate the smooth rollout of telecom services.

Installation and Deployment:

Oversee the setup and commissioning of telecom apparatus, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

Supervise and engage in the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of telecom systems and network infrastructure. Quickly identify and resolve technical problems to minimize service interruptions.

Quality Control:

Ensure that the work performed by the field technician team meets organizational standards and client expectations. Conduct quality assessments and audits to uphold service excellence.

Training and Development:

Mentor and train field technicians, promoting their professional growth and skill enhancement. Stay informed about the latest telecom technologies and industry developments to improve team capabilities.

Health and Safety Compliance:

Enforce safety protocols and procedures, fostering a culture of safety awareness within the field technician team.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain precise records of field operations, equipment inventory, and service documentation. Provide regular updates to management regarding field operations, challenges encountered, and suggestions for enhancements.

Customer Interaction:

Engage with clients in a professional manner, addressing their inquiries and providing technical support as needed.

Equipment Management:

Oversee equipment inventory, ensuring the availability and proper maintenance of tools and materials required for field operations.

Vehicle and Travel Responsibilities:

Conduct pre-operation and post-operation checks on vehicles and equipment to ensure readiness for duty. Maintain a clean driving record as per fleet insurance requirements. Be prepared to travel to various locations as part of the job responsibilities.

Additional Duties:

Participate in ongoing training and development initiatives. Support routine tasks and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
